Textron is seeking a Quality Engineer I (Weapons) for Wilmington, MA. This entry‑level role emphasizes quality planning, requirements analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration with design, manufacturing, and supplier quality teams to ensure robust processes and product quality.

About This Role

A Day in the Life of a Quality Engineer I:

• Performs quality planning activities including development of Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directive and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s).
• Reviews customer contracts; responsible for requirements analysis, identification and definitions.
• Interfaces with Supplier Quality Engineering to provide guidance and support for supplier issues.
• Uses knowledge of inspection tools and techniques to define inspection requirements.
• Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, failure analysis.
• Participates in design document reviews and assist in developing fabrication/build processes and standards.
• Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering "or related fields and/or less than 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and applications.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills.
• This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is

92,000 - 92,000 per year.
