Job summary

AMD is seeking a hardware engineering intern/co-op in the US (San Jose/Santa Clara). You will collaborate with Engineers on discrete and embedded hardware, and you’ll gain exposure to large-scale systems and automation efforts while learning under experts in the AMD Hardware team.

The role requires current enrollment in a US university's Master’s program in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related fields, with strong interest in C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, Python, and ML/AI.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US-based university pursuing a Master’s program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge/experience with C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, Python, MATLAB, or related languages is a plus.
• Interest in ASIC design/verification, ML/AI, hardware design, and pre/post-silicon platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineers on AMD’s discrete and embedded hardware products.
• Learn to build applications for external/internal use and for large-scale systems that improve hardware team efficiency.

• Onsite/Hybrid:This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term

WHOWEARELOOKINGFOR:

• You are currently enrolled in a US based University into a Master’s program majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a related field.
• If you have knowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply –
