Job summary

AMD is offering a Hardware Engineering intern/co-op position in Silicon Valley, with locations in San Jose or Santa Clara. You’ll work full-time (40 hours) in a hybrid or onsite setup during the term, gaining hands-on experience on real hardware projects.

You'll collaborate with engineers on discrete and embedded hardware products, and you’ll learn to build applications for external and internal use, while contributing to large-scale systems and optimizing AMD’s hardware workflows.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a US-based university in a Master's program in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Knowledge of C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, Python, MATLAB preferred.
• Interest in hardware design and AI-enabled technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineers and be responsible for some of AMD's discrete and embedded hardware products.
• Train you to build applications for external and internal use as well as large scale systems that improve efficiency of AMD Hardware organization.

What You Will Be Doing

• You will collaborate with Engineers and be responsible for some of AMD's discrete and embedded hardware products.
• We will train you to build applications for external and internal use as well as large scale systems that improve the efficiency of AMD Hardware organization.

Who We Are Looking For

• You are currently enrolled in a US based University into a Master's program majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a related field.
• If you have knowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply –
• C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, Python, Perl, Spice, Ruby, Chrome OS, MATLAB.
• ASIC design and verification.
• ML and AI.
• System/Board design, circuit board layout, signal integrity, power design.
• Hardware automation, validation and test.
• UNIX and JTAG tools.
• Pre-silicon and/or post-silicon platforms.
• Computer architecture, CPU & GPU architecture.
