Textron Aviation is offering a summer internship focusing on System Safety within cross-functional engineering teams. You will assist with safety reports, hazard analyses, and certification-related activities for aviation systems.
An expected BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related STEM field is pursued, with strong analytical, writing, and time-management skills valued. On-site work is required for the full 10-week program.

System Safety Engineers are an integral part of cross‑functional Engineering teams, assisting with the implementation of Systems Engineering, Development Assurance, and System Safety processes of Textron Aviation Business Jets, Turboprops, and Single Engine aircraft systems in support of aircraft type certification. Candidates will assist systems design teams with these processes as related to aspects of new product design and certification for domestic and foreign certification activities.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
