Job summary

Textron Aviation is offering a summer internship designed to give hands-on experience across service, repair and maintenance operations. Interns will support multiple functional areas, assist management in production control, and learn scheduling and quality improvement processes on day-to-day tasks.

You will work with experienced professionals, gain exposure to real projects, and benefit from mentorship and development opportunities within a global Fortune 500 company.

JOB SUMMARY

To provide support to several functional areas within service, repair & overall maintenance operations activities with other functional areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the management team in controlling of production output, costs and quality.
• Support production activities with Value Stream Leaders in the major functional areas of responsibility to meet production schedules and delivery dates in the most efficient and effective manner.
• Develop an understanding of scheduling and priority of operations to be conducted on second and third shifts.
• Report on status of repairs and act to eliminate delays and parts shortages.
• Work with Quality Control on the disposition of questionable inspections “squawks” and the control of recurring quality defects.

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late‑May to early‑August lasting 10 weeks.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
