Job summary

Textron Systems invites an Intern - Software Engineer (Electronic Systems) in Hunt Valley, MD to join our on-site team for a 10-week summer program. You will contribute to software for advanced simulators and automated test equipment, and design applications using C/C++, Java, Python, and HTML, in a cross-functional lab setting.

You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS or related field, with knowledge of databases and basic office tools. U.S.

About This Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Develop, enhance and maintain software code for advanced simulators and automated test equipment
• Design and maintain applications in various software languages, including C , Java, Python, HTML, etc.
• Work in a cross-functional team and laboratory environment

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/CIS/MIS or a related field
• C/C /C# programming languages, database application knowledge, basic computer skills (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, presentation)
• This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Compensation

Textron's compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. Benefits may include health insurance and prescription plan coverage, dental insurance, family building benefits, vision insurance, mental health resources, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and programs that provide employees time away from work. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is 28 - 32 per hour.
