Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking new and recent graduates to join our Sea Systems team to develop solutions for unmanned surface vehicles programs. Focus areas include autonomous control, advanced payload integration, vision systems, and other emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

Your day may involve designing, simulating, constructing, and field-testing autonomous surface vehicles and subsystems, delivering disruptive autonomy technologies to improve mission capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in computer science/computer engineering/CIS/MIS or related field.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, C#, Python, and/or Java programming.
  • Willingness to work up to 40 hours/week for a summer internship on a 5/8 or 4/10 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities

  • Providing engineering support on next generation technologies and proven platforms that support deployed warfighters.
  • Participating in software development of new products across all phases of the design lifecycle from concept to lab integration.
  • Opportunity spanning embedded control systems to operator interfaces and mobile device applications.

About This Role

Textron Systems is seeking new and recent graduates to join our Sea Systems business area to develop solutions in support of our unmanned surface vehicles programs. Current focal areas include autonomous control, advanced payload integration, vision systems, and other emerging technologies to enhance our unmanned surface vehicle platforms' capabilities.

Your day may include designing, simulating, constructing, and field-testing autonomous surface vehicles and their subsystems. Our goal is to deliver disruptive autonomy technologies that enhance our customers’ mission capabilities We work on applied research and development initiatives as well as established programs, and leverage diversity of thought to improve Textron Systems' lines of robotic products.

In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is

$28 - $32 per hour.
