Westlake United States PEM plant locations across Lake Charles, Plaquemine, Geismar, Longview, Natrium, Deer Park, and Calvert City. The company offers an engineering internship in chemical engineering to help you grow in a practical, mentor-guided environment.

Responsibilities include supporting assigned projects, observing departments, assisting supervisors in daily tasks, participating in safety programs, maintaining an activity journal, and delivering a presentation to management.

Qualifications

• Must have completed second year of college.
• Must be majoring in Chemical Engineering
• Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is sometimes moderate when working in an office, however, some of the work may be required in the operating units which mandates usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
