Job summary

Westlake Chemical invites a current college student to an internship at our PEM facilities. You will work on projects under a mentor, observe department activities, assist with daily tasks, and participate in safety/environmental programs. Maintain an intern journal and present to management at the end of the internship.

Requirements: completion of two years of college, major in Chemical Engineering, GPA 3.0+, and eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is sometimes moderate when working in an office, however, some of the work may be required in the operating units which mandates usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
