Job summary

UPS in Utah is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern to support projects on work measurement, cost-benefit analysis, and process improvements. You will apply data analytics, observe operations, and present findings to the IE staff.

As an intern, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain exposure to AI and automation initiatives, and develop practical engineering skills while contributing to operational efficiency.

An Industrial Engineering Intern at UPS works on targeted projects individually, or in small teams. Projects require operational observations, data collection, cross functional communication, and problem solving. All completed projects will be presented to the Industrial Engineering staff upon completion.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
• Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions
• Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the internship or willing to relocate yourself
• Current student enrolled in a degreed college/university program, or recent graduate from a degreed college/university program within the past 24 months
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week
