Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a Health & Safety Engineer Co-op/Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting incident-free operations and risk management across our sites. You will collaborate with safety professionals to promote Goal Zero and implement practical safety improvements.

As a student, you will explore disciplines within health, safety, and environment, contribute to real projects, and receive mentorship while applying classroom knowledge to protect people and the environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Occupational Safety, or an equivalent degree.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support an incident-free work environment by prioritizing the safety and well-being of individuals.
• Uphold safety and health as integral to everyday operations.
• Foster a Goal Zero workplace through collaboration and innovation.
• Provide proactive, sustainable safety solutions based on Occupational Health and Loss Prevention strategies.
