Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking an Environmental Engineer Co-op/Intern in Corpus Christi, TX. You will gain hands-on experience supporting environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance, and promoting safety in operations.

During two consecutive terms (May–December 2026), you’ll explore environmental disciplines, receive mentorship from seasoned professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects in a leading global company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available to complete two consecutive co-op terms (May–December 2026).

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance on environmental issues.
• Assist in understanding and complying with requirements to minimize environmental risks and support informed decision-making.
• Monitor performance, promote beneficial change, and interact with internal stakeholders to identify, quantify, and manage environmental risks.
• Support environmental initiatives and enhance process safety and loss prevention.

Qualifications We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
• Must be available to complete two consecutive co-op terms (Summer/Fall): May - December 2026.
