  • Support HVAC, engineering, and operations teams in monitoring equipment performance and improving asset reliability.
  • Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance activities to increase equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze operational and sustainability data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support engineering decision‑making and performance tracking.
  • Support sustainability reporting, environmental data collection, and performance metric management.
  • Assist with automation projects that reduce manual reporting and improve data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Participate in cross‑functional continuous improvement projects, gaining exposure to manufacturing, facilities operations, and sustainability programs.

Job Description

Our Future Talent Program features internship assignments that will last 10-12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Global Services division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. Our Support Functions deliver services and make recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the experience of working at our organization. The vision for the Global Workplace and Enterprise Services (GWES) based in New Jersey is to improve patient’s lives by providing world-class facility services & solutions that enable innovative research, medicines, & vaccines.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the various teams within the NJ GWES organization (Facilities Management, Utility Energy Operation, Maintenance & Engineering, Project Delivery, and Process Excellence & Strategy Operations) in gaining hands‑on experience through assisting with maintenance activities, operational data trending, participating in daily/weekly planning meetings and assisting with capital projects from the initial concept through execution planning.
  • Partner with teams to create visual dashboards to track priorities and KPIs, leveraging standards established and expanding to all departments.
  • Support Gemba (Go-See) program. This involves participating in safety walkdowns.
  • Develop digital tools to (a) implement automation where possible to accelerate information flow across data systems, audience ranging from VP to manager levels (b) implement innovative technologies to simplify processes
  • Gain project experience by regularly attending portfolio meetings and reviewing broad spectrum of facility related projects; put into a schedule with deliverables; physically monitor projects and report status (e.g. spend to date and current forecast).

Primary Activities

  • Responsible for learning and adhering to all our Company Safety, Health, Environmental, GMP and regulatory requirements (as required by task).
  • Work with minimum supervision and exercise independent judgment in the daily performance of his/her duties.
  • Perform necessary administrative duties to ensure maintenance of records, reports, and associated tasks.
Required Education And Experience
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Engineering, or related field.
