Job summary

MSD Malaysia offers a Future Talent Program internship lasting up to 12 weeks to contribute to the Global Safety and Environment (GSE) team across the Americas. Ideal candidates are pursuing a technical degree, able to commit to 10–12 weeks full-time, and comfortable working in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology or another technical program.
• Completed at least 2 years of college coursework.
• Able to work full time for 10–12 weeks.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and computer skills.
• Ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement changes.
• Ability to think critically about process inefficiencies and propose solutions.

Job Description The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Global Support Function Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the Global Safety and Environment (GSE) team across multiple sites in the Americas. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental health and safety (EHS) training implementation, documentation governance, and incident investigation improvements. The intern will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency and supporting critical projects within the GSE organization.

Required Education and Skills

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors/ Master’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology or another technical program.
• Completed at least 2 years of college course work
• Able to work full time for a period of 10-12 weeks
• Critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and computer skills
• Ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement corresponding changes
• Ability to think critically about process inefficiencies and propose solutions

Preferred Skills

• Prior internship or work experience in the Environmental, Health, and Safety field or in chemical manufacturing.

The salary range for this role is $39,908 - $111,111 USD.
