Vertin offers a paid Funeral Director Internship Program designed for new graduates seeking real training and support. Location options range from rural to metro areas, across multiple states. Pay is $65,000 with a flexible start date that fits your mortuary program timeline, and a structured development

Qualifications

• Degree completed or in progress from Accredited Mortuary Science Program.
• Successful completion of the National Board Examination after internship completion.
• Successful completion of the applicable State Board Examination after internship completion.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized, and caring manner, in keeping with company policies and procedures.
• Care for the deceased with dignity, including removal and transfer, embalming, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing, and casketing.
• Build strong community relationships through involvement in local organizations and charitable events.
• Help promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Follow all professional, state, and federal licensing regulations and rules that apply to funeral service.

What you'll learn to do

Your coursework gave you the foundation. Here, with guidance from your preceptor, you'll put it into practice across every part of funeral service:

Education and licensure

· Degree completed or in progress from Accredited Mortuary Science Program as required in the applicable state.
· Successful completion of the National Board Examination after internship completion.
