Job summary

Linde Inc. is seeking an entry-level engineer for the Hydrogen Technical Orientation Program (HyTOP) in The Woodlands, TX. This 18‑month rotation builds deep hydrogen production and air separation expertise, with a six‑month Woodlands rotation and a subsequent one‑year plant engineering assignment.

You'll collaborate across Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability, Process Safety, and Operations, tackle real-world plant issues, and travel to multiple facilities across the U.S. to complete rotations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 0–3 years of experience.
• Strong technical skills and ability to learn complex processes.
• Clear communication and teamwork across cross-functional groups.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an eighteen-month rotational training program to develop deep technical expertise in hydrogen production and basic air separation processes.
• Complete a six-month technical training rotation in The Woodlands, TX focused on Hydrogen and Air Separation technologies followed by a one-year plant engineering assignment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability, Process Safety, Process Controls, and Operations to gain hands-on experience.
• Take responsibility for supporting operational improvement initiatives, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to plant reliability and process optimization.
• Travel to multiple facilities across the United States to complete rotations while remaining flexible to relocation needs throughout the program.
• Apply technical knowledge to real-world plant operations while receiving structured training, mentoring, and on-the-job development.

What Makes You Great

• You will hold a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with zero to three years of experience
• You shall demonstrate strong technical skills with the ability to quickly learn complex processes and adapt to changing operational situations
• In addition you should communicate clearly, build productive cross‑functional relationships, and contribute positively to team environments
• Bring the ability to manage multiple priorities, drive tasks to completion, and deliver results with strong attention to detail
• Additionally, operate as a self‑starter who works independently, participates confidently in project teams, and applies problem‑solving skills effectively
• You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and willing to travel up to twenty‑five percent to assigned facilities across domestic regions
