DBI Construction Consultants is seeking a Construction Cost Estimator to analyze costs, timelines, and risks on-site and in the office. You will gather real-world data during site visits and craft practical estimates and reports to help clients move forward.

The role involves visiting sites, handling field measurements, and using estimating tools like Xactimate and Bluebeam Revu, with travel up to 25% and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, structural engineering, construction management or related field.
• Past construction or risk management internship experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and technical reading skills.
• Advanced Excel; Xactimate or scheduling software experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel (~25%), meet physical requirements, and work in varied field conditions.

Your Role

As a Construction Cost Estimator, you will dive into field and office work — analyzing costs, timelines, and risks while visiting sites to gather real-world data. Your analysis and reports will bring practical knowledge to help our clients move forward.

This position is budgeted to begin in June/July of 2027.

Physical Activities And Requirements

In addition to the working conditions and associated physical activities and requirements above, the incumbent may be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, or feel, especially in the course of investigating and assessing property damage; these requirements may include the need to lift weights of up to 50 pounds, including a ladder, and climb ladders upwards of 30 feet.

The work requires close visual acuity, with or without correction, to prepare reports containing words, symbols, and numerical figures; the incumbent is required to view a computer terminal, use a keyboard, read printed documents, make detailed visual inspections, perceive color, perceive depth, and have a sufficient field of vision to carry out all inspection and related duties.
