Job summary

Position Summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Engineers for an internship opportunities. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Northridge, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Advanced Weapons team within our Weapon Systems Division.

Basic Qualifications

The candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027.
• Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Preferred Qualifications

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.

Salary and Compensation

At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.

Undergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program): $26.75 - $39.00

Masters degrees: $38.00 - $48.00

Campusjobs Primary Level Salary Range: $1.00 - $2.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
