BBVA's Corporate Client Coverage Summer Analyst program in New York offers hands-on exposure to corporate banking, client coverage and deal execution within a global financial institution. Analysts work with Junior and Senior Bankers across industries, gaining experience in financial analysis, client materials and internal processes, with potential for a full-time Analyst role after graduation.
The program covers five industries (Energy, Consumer, TMT, Industrials, Infrastructure & Construction)
The Corporate Client Coverage Summer Analyst will join BBVA’s Corporate & Investment Banking division as a member of the Corporate Client Coverage team. The internship is designed to provide high-performing students with hands‑on exposure to corporate banking, client coverage, financial analysis and transaction execution within a global financial institution.
Summer Analysts will work alongside Junior Bankers (Analysts and Associates) and Senior Bankers (Vice Presidents, Executive Directors and Managing Directors) across different clients, industries and assignments, gaining exposure to the full range of activities performed by a Global Banker. The program is designed to provide broad-based experience across the five industries covered by the Corporate Client Coverage team: Energy, Consumer, TMT, Industrials, and Infrastructure & Construction.
Summer Analysts will support client and industry analysis, preparation of client materials, financial and credit analysis, transaction‑related workstreams and internal processes, while interacting with Product, Risk and other teams across BBVA’s international network.
The internship is intended for students entering their final year of undergraduate studies. High-performing Summer Analysts may be considered for a full-time Analyst position following graduation.
Summer Analysts will operate as part of the Corporate Client Coverage pool and will have the opportunity to work with different Junior and Senior Bankers throughout the internship.
The pool structure is designed to provide broad exposure across Energy, Consumer, TMT, Industrials, and Infrastructure & Construction and to allow interns to experience different clients, types of assignments and working styles.
Summer Analysts are expected to approach all assignments with the same level of commitment and professionalism, whether supporting day‑to‑day client coverage, financial and credit analysis, a live transaction, an internal process or a one‑off pitch.
The objective of the internship is to build a strong foundation across the technical, analytical and professional capabilities required of a Global Banker.
Summer Analysts operate within the Corporate Client Coverage pool structure and will work across different Junior Bankers, Senior Bankers, clients, industries and assignments throughout the internship.
The program is intentionally designed to provide broad exposure at an early stage of the banker’s career. Interns will be encouraged to learn from different team members, ask questions, understand the broader purpose behind their assignments and remain engaged in the outcome of the work they support.
The internship is also an opportunity for BBVA and the Summer Analyst to assess long‑term fit. Strong performance across technical skills, execution, judgement, collaboration, communication and overall contribution to the team may lead to consideration for a full‑time Analyst position following graduation.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
