Gooseneck Implement in North Dakota is seeking a full-time Virtual Ag Technician to enroll in the John Deere Ag Tech Virtual Program through Arkansas State University–Beebe. You will work in the dealership's service department while studying online.

The program runs weekly online coursework and hands-on work, with potential for a permanent assignment after graduation. Compensation starts at $24 per hour in year one, rising to $26 per hour in year two, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Meets admission requirements for Arkansas State University – Beebe.
• Pursuing AAS Degree in John Deere Tech program.
• Maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average while in the program.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using manuals and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in project assignments centered around service-related activities at the dealership.
• Work full-time at dealer location while attending school online through Arkansas State University – Beebe.
• Shadows selected personnel to gain experience in the service department.
• Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and AMS products.
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for skill development.
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Follows all safety rules and completes reports and forms as required.
• Accounts for all time on a timecard and for materials used in duties.

Purpose:

Hired as a full-time Virtual Ag Technician with Gooseneck Implement with the intention of enrolling in the John Deere Ag Tech Virtual Program through Arkansas State University–Beebe. Employees selected for this program must begin full-time employment with Gooseneck Implement at least two months prior to the first day of classes in August 2027. Employees in this program work full-time in a Gooseneck Implement service department while completing the John Deere Ag Tech Virtual Program concurrently. The program includes one day of online coursework each week and four days of hands-on work each week in the service department. Upon graduation, the employee may receive a permanent assignment at a Gooseneck Implement location other than the store where they completed their training.

Compensation:

• $24 starting for first year
• $26 for second year
• Full benefit package including health, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, supplemental coverages.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Meets the admission requirements set by Arkansas State University – Beebe.
• Pursuing AAS Degree in John Deere Tech program.
• Maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average while in the program.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
