The YMCA of Maryland is seeking a motivated AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator in Towson, MD. You will develop and implement strategies to recruit volunteers, build partnerships with schools and organizations, and ensure volunteers have a positive, impactful experience.

In this full-time role, you will support orientation, manage inquiries, track hours, and contribute to storytelling by sharing impact stories and testimonials.

Qualifications

• Languages: English.
• Experience in volunteer recruitment or coordination is desirable.
• Ability to work with schools, communities, and partners.

Responsabilités

• Support development and implementation of recruitment strategies through events, campaigns, and partnerships.
• Manage volunteer inquiries and applications with timely communication and follow-up.
• Plan and facilitate volunteer orientation sessions.
• Collaborate with staff to align recruitment with program goals.

The Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening our volunteer base to support community programs. This AmeriCorps member will focus on developing and implementing strategies to attract new volunteers, build meaningful partnerships with schools, small & large groups, and corporations, and ensure that all volunteers have a positive and impactful experience.

Member Duties

• Support development and implementation of creative strategies to recruit new volunteers through outreach events, digital campaigns, and community partnerships.
• Manage volunteer inquiries and applications, providing timely communication and follow-up.
• Support the planning and facilitation of volunteer orientation sessions.
• Collaborate with program staff to identify volunteer needs and align recruitment efforts with program goals.
• Maintain volunteer records and assist with tracking hours and impact stories.
• Coordinate recognition activities to celebrate and retain volunteers.
• Contribute to storytelling efforts by gathering volunteer testimonials and photos for social media and newsletters.
