The Role
  • Greet and assist all staff and guests in a welcoming and friendly manner
  • Supervise and coordinate all cleaning staff and services performed
  • Dispatch staff to designated areas in a timely manner
  • Uphold and enforce the grooming and appearance standards policy
  • Maintain a daily log of all work performed by the cleaning staff, by location, throughout the assigned areas
  • Document all problems, incidents, and complaints each day and work with HR manager on resolutions
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Report all vendor issues such as low staffing levels, lack of supplies, and any other issues that may come up in real-time to the Facility Operations Department
  • Provide daily cleaning assistance and perform various duties as assigned by the Facility Operations Department
  • Manage and coordinate all tasks of cleaning services staff in designated areas
  • Proactively troubleshoot cleaning problems as they occur and respond in a timely manner
  • Facilitate sweep of facility after each session and ensure that the facility is cleaned to USTA standards
  • Report unattended bags and packages, medical situations, incidents, or emergencies immediately to the command center
  • Provide assistance and direction when dealing with inclement weather situations
  • Provide staff for court and seat drying
  • Work with Sr. Manager, Facility Services on year end evaluations and hiring recommendations
  • Be familiar with NTC procedures
Who You Are
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
  • Prior cleaning and supervisory experience within maintenance or cleaning operations for venues or similar facilities
  • Comfortable working in different height levels
  • Previous guest or customer service related experience
  • Punctual and presentable shift attendance, neatly groomed in a clean, well-maintained uniform
  • Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament - 7 days a week in August and September
  • Must be able to work 10+ hour shifts and be available days, nights and weekends
  • Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and able to stand for extended periods
  • Personable and proactive team player with excellent communication skills
  • Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment as well as during stressful situations
What We Offer

Compensation:

Hourly Pay Rate prior to tournament: $30 per hour

Daily Pay Rate during tournament: $450 per day

Uniforms: Employees will be provided with uniforms to ensure a professional and cohesive team appearance.
