Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance employees on assigned shifts to ensure effective delivery of maintenance services.
  • Collaborate with plant engineer, maintenance manager, and facility management to improve equipment utilization, safety, quality, and OEE.
  • Supervise maintenance and capital projects for site.
  • Maintain production systems, utilities, buildings and grounds using mechanical and electrical expertise.
  • Utilize a CMMS to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Implement corrective actions from key maintenance KPIs to improve OEE.
  • Stay current with industry regulations and codes for mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Follow corporate policies and standards in projects and daily maintenance.
  • Share best practices within Maintenance Dept.
  • Manage employees directly or through supervisors, including performance management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes with a CI mindset.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain clean/safe work areas.
  • Follow all PPE, confined space, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure food safety and related programs for designated area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:


This position supervises maintenance employees on assigned shifts to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services and support production in a 24-hour 7-day per week operation. This includes planning, assigning and directing work, coordinating weekly CI Meetings, addressing product and employee complaints, and resolving problems. This person carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company\'s policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws while following all CI Processes and the Management Operating Structure (MOS).



  • Collaborate with the plant engineer, maintenance manager, and facility management to ensure equipment utilization improves employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.

  • Supervise both the maintenance and capital projects for site.

  • Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings and grounds.

  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance.

  • Implement corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators as a means to create overall equipment effectiveness.

  • Remain current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.

  • Ensure corporate policies and standards are followed in both capital project implementation as well as daily maintenance.

  • Share \"best practices\" within the Maintenance Department.

  • Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating

  • Provide for the management of employees directly or through supervisors to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action and performance management. If a collective bargaining agreement exists, may participate in negotiations, grievances or other contract related activities and discussion

  • Utilize continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.

  • Follow all required work safe practices, including wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.

  • Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

Tuesday - Saturday 2:00pm - 10:00pm


Salary:

$76,000.00 per year
