Please note: Candidates will be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and will travel to East Texas for Junior Tour Tournaments. Intern pay is inclusive of travel reimbursement.
The Northern Texas PGA (NTPGA) is one of 41 Sections of the PGA of America. Over 1,000 PGA of America Golf Professionals employed at more than 300 facilities comprise this Section. Its geographic territory includes the State of Texas north of the 31st latitude, or just north of Austin. The Northern Texas PGA headquarters are located on the PGA Frisco campus and feature picturesque office space, a growth of the game pavilion and a golf park designed for junior golfers and families. The Northern Texas PGA staff’s mission is to serve PGA of America golf professionals and grow the game by managing the day-to-day affairs of the Section. The Northern Texas PGA also operates the Northern Texas PGA Foundation and The Ronny Golf Park.

The Northern Texas PGA is seeking qualified applicants for a 9-week internship in golf tournament operations during the Fall of 2026. Successful applicants will be responsible for helping conduct day-to-day operations of the Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour and the Northern Texas PGA Foundation’s Junior Golf programming. This internship includes comprehensive training in golf tournament operations, event management, Rules of Golf, and professional development.
Junior Tour Operations interns in East Texas will be responsible for helping conduct approximately 5 Junior Tour tournaments this Fall. These tournaments will include formats such as single-day, 18-hole and 9-hole stroke play competitions. Interns will be responsible for conducting all of these events from start to finish. Additionally, East Texas interns will help with live scoring, infrastructure setup/teardown, and other tasks as they pertain to each event. Below is a list of the tournament dates this Fall:
Tournaments will be spread throughout the entire East Texas region. Interns can expect to work tournaments at different golf courses each day and will be responsible for their own transportation to and from all tournaments. See below for mileage reimbursement and overnight hotel accommodation information.
The Northern Texas PGA does not provide housing of any kind.
