2026 Customized Product Engineering Summer Intern

Our Steelcase Studio Express Team is hiring a 2026 Customized Product Engineering Summer Intern whom will work hand in hand with engineers to bring customers custom furniture requests to life from drawing board to customer site while working on day to day order processing and engineering projects. Team members utilize Creo, Windchill, Sketchup among other software to process day to day orders creating 3D models, Drawings, and Bill of Materials to support the order fulfillment process. This is coupled with hands on projects focused on continuous improvement while providing a hands on experience with our manufacturing facilities and test lab. We hope to create and grow our interns skillsets that will benefit their future engineering careers.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Engineering solutions to meet customer needs
  • Using Creo, Windchill, and other software to support solutions
  • Collaborating within internal/external functions to support development and/or continuous improvement projects
  • Experiential opportunities to work with our model shop, test lab, visit suppliers, and our showroom/manufacturing facilities

Who You Are:
Graduation Requirements
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at a nationally accredited program.
  • Actively enrolled in a degree seeking program at the time of application and throughout the duration of the internship or co-op position.
  • Preferred majors for this position: Mechanical, Product Design, Industrial Engineering, or related
  • Preferred academic standing for this position: 2027 & 2028 Graduates
Work Authorization/Sponsorship
