Job summary

Steelcase is offering a hands-on internship in Grand Rapids as part of our Global Order Fulfillment Network. You will support daily order fulfillment activities, work across supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics teams, and gain insights into customer support and operations.

You will contribute to a summer project, develop your problem-solving and communication skills, and build relationships with leaders across Steelcase. Housing and relocation support may be provided for eligible interns.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Communications, Logistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Active enrollment in a degree-seeking program throughout the internship.
• Willingness to learn across operations, logistics, and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Support Order Fulfillment Consultants with day-to-day activities to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Navigate end-to-end order fulfillment across supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and delivery processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in logistics, planning, and manufacturing partners.
• Analyze processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and better customer outcomes.
• Contribute to a key summer project addressing business challenges or process improvements.
• Use tools like Excel, SAP, Smartsheet, and Steelcase systems to support objectives.
• Present recommendations and updates to leaders and stakeholders.

Your Future Team

You will be part of a collaborative Global Order Fulfillment Network that serves as a primary point of contact for Steelcase dealer partners regarding active orders. Our team works across operations to help navigate complex processes, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and support effective operational performance. This role offers the opportunity to build relationships across the broader operations organization while gaining exposure to supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and customer support functions.

You'll Support Meaningful Work By:

• Supporting Order Fulfillment Consultants with day-to-day activities that help ensure a positive customer experience.
• Navigating supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and delivery processes to better understand the end-to-end order fulfillment value stream.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across operations, including logistics, materials planning, scheduling, and manufacturing partners.
• Analyzing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer outcomes.
• Contributing to a key summer project focused on solving business challenges or enhancing existing processes.
• Utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel, SAP, Smartsheet, and Steelcase systems to support business objectives and project work.
• Presenting recommendations, project updates, and learnings to leaders and stakeholders while strengthening professional communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be graduating Winter 2028 or Spring 2029.
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Communications, Logistics, Business Analytics, or another related field.
• Actively enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the internship.

Work Authorization

• Experience working in team-based environments through coursework, student organizations, work experience, or leadership activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with SAP, ERP systems, or similar business software is a plus.
• Ability to present information, recommendations, and project outcomes to various audiences.
