QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Professional Georgia Teaching Certificate in assigned area.
• Prefer 10 or more years of experience in reading/langauge arts and/or extensive training and experience in reading/language arts instruction.
• The ability to work successfully with other professionals. Proven organizational skills, effective oral and written communication and strong people skills
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The RISE Mentoring program connects retired educators with new teachers to provide coaching, encouragement, instructional support and leadership development. The program is designed to improve teacher confidence, instructional effectiveness, classroom management and teacher retention while preserving the knowledge and experience of Liberty County retired teachers.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Effective mentor coaches will meet with assigned mentees weekly to conduct classroom observations, model high leverage instructional practices, assist with lesson planning, support and impact classroom management, model lessons, provide resources and individually coach mentees.

TIMELINE :

August 2026- December 2026 Hourly wage- $45.00 per hour with a maximum of 15 hours per week to be paid throughout the terms of employment
