Birch Agency in Plainfield, Illinois seeks a compassionate Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, in-person role focuses on an elementary caseload, helping students with visual impairments develop mobility and independence for school and beyond.

Responsibilities include direct O&M services, assessments, IEP collaboration, and goal development with a multidisciplinary team. Competitive weekly pay and benefits available.

Competenze

• Certification as an Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS).
• Experience working with school-aged students.
• Strong communication, organizational and collaboration skills.

Mansioni

• Provide direct Orientation & Mobility services to students with visual impairments in accordance with their IEPs.
• Conduct O&M assessments and contribute to evaluation reports.
• Develop individualized mobility goals and instructional plans.
