Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking an instrumental music teacher to serve as the piano accompanist for the Elementary Select Choir (grades 3–6) at Clear Springs Elementary. The choir meets after school one day a week from September through May, with public performances.

The position is September 2026–May 2027, with an assignment of 1.5 hours per week. Compensation includes a $2,690 stipend, and this role is not eligible for medical or dental benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated excellence in piano playing (technical and expressive).
• Ability to accompany and follow the conductor.
• Willingness to work a varied after-school schedule.
• Experience working with school-age students.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the Elementary Select Choir during rehearsals and concerts.
• Follow the conductor and coordinate with choir directors.

The Minnetonka Public Schools has elementary choir programs for children in grades 3-6. The choir meets to practice one day a week after school from September through May, with public performances. This position serves as the piano accompanist for the Elementary Select Choir, during rehearsals and concerts.

ASSIGNMENT DATES:

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:

The Select choir practices one day a week for 1.5 hours (day of week and time TBD yet) at Clear Springs Elementary

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 1. Demonstrated excellence in technical and expressive aspects of piano playing.
2. 2. Evidence of piano accompanying skills, including the ability to follow the conductor.
3. 3. Demonstrated ability to be flexible, dependable, and work a varied schedule.
4. 4. Experience of successful experience working with school age students.

Compensation:

$2,690 Stipend
