Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work daily in 3rd–4th grade math classrooms with the teacher, teaching small groups and providing immediate feedback.
• Review upcoming math lessons with teachers and identify key skills and likely misconceptions.
• Provide daily targeted math intervention using student data to determine skills to teach.
• Plan and lead after-school math tutoring for identified students.
• Review student work, exit tickets, assessments, and STAAR-aligned data to determine interventions.
• Track intervention progress and determine entry/exit timing.
• Meet regularly with math teachers and instructional leaders to review progress.
• Attend Math Team Meetings with current data and trends.
• Model personal organization and efficiency.
• Demonstrate a long-term commitment to the organization and student success.
• Go 'By any Means' to ensure students are 'College Ready'.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work daily inside 3rd and 4th grade math classrooms alongside the classroom teacher, teaching small groups, checking student understanding, and providing immediate feedback.
• Review upcoming math lessons with teachers and identify key skills, likely misconceptions, and students who will need additional support.
• During lessons, monitor student work and respond to misconceptions in the moment through questioning, modeling, and targeted reteaching.
• Provide daily targeted math intervention to students who are below grade level, using student data to determine the specific skills to teach.
• Plan and lead after-school math tutoring for identified 3rd and 4th grade students.
• Review student work, exit tickets, assessments, and STAAR-aligned data to determine who needs intervention, what they need, and whether the intervention is working.
• Track each student's intervention skill, progress, and assessment results, and recommend when students should enter, change, or exit intervention.
• Meet regularly with 3rd and 4th grade math teachers and instructional leaders to review student progress and determine specific instructional next steps.
• Attend Math Team Meetings and come prepared with current student data, trends, and students requiring additional support.
• Model personal organization and efficiency.
• Demonstrate a long-term commitment to the organization.
• Go “By any Means” to ensure all scholars are “College Ready.”
