2026‑27 Lecturer Pool – Project Management Program (For‑Credit Extension)

Position Details

Part‑time faculty lecturers will be hired as needed to support the Project Management Program during the 2026‑2027 academic year. Positions may be filled each semester based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates must be available to begin teaching on short notice.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Relevant degree from an accredited university: master’s degree for upper‑division undergraduate courses, or doctoral degree for graduate courses, or master’s degree plus substantial teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
  • Three to five years of industry‑relevant work experience and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • Experience teaching adult learners and career transitioners.
  • Experience teaching online using the Quality Matters rubric.
  • Proficiency in written and oral English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment.
  • Relevant work experience and training that enhance instruction.
Duties
  • Prepare and deliver course materials aligned with program learning objectives and current industry practices.
  • Design assessments and engaging learning activities to develop practical project management skills.
  • Update course content to reflect evolving PMP practices, technologies, and program feedback.
  • Communicate course expectations, objectives, and grading policies to students.
  • Respond to student questions and learning needs promptly.
  • Employ inclusive and culturally responsive teaching practices.
  • Incorporate practical PMP examples and case materials.
  • Evaluate student performance and assign grades per established outcomes.
  • Submit final grades within university timelines and address student inquiries.
  • Maintain student records in accordance with university policies.
  • Maintain course materials, assessments, and instructional practices consistent with program standards.
Salary

Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary ranges (per 7/1/2024 schedule): Lecturer A‑2: $117‑$1,792; Lecturer B‑3: $117‑$1,957; Lecturer C‑4: $117‑$2,477; Lecturer D‑5: $117‑$2,477. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer C rank.
