Responsibilities

This position supports Preston Middle School. The intersections that this position will be stationed at are Rock Creek & Ziegler. School starts 7:30 am and ends at 2:25 pm.

Pay Range:

$16.69-$18.69/hour (min-12% above min), based on qualifications and experience

Hours/day: 2

Work calendar days: 190

Duration of position: One Year Only

SUMMARY:

Maintain the safety of student pedestrians as they cross designated intersections on their way to and from school.

JOB TASKS:

• Assist students safely across the street at designated crossing.
• Communicate with assigned supervisor or the Director of Transportation regarding incidences that occur while on duty.
• Be prepared by wearing appropriate equipment at assigned crossing.
• Report promptly at the designated time to the assigned school crossing.
• Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete District required professional development courses in a timely manner
• Experience working with children preferred
