Job summary

Magnolia Science Academy 3 - Carson, CA 90746 is seeking a Campus Safety Supervisor (Part Time) to help maintain student discipline and campus safety. The role requires strong communication with staff, parents and students and the ability to respond quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities include patrolling campus areas, directing students, and assisting with after-hours events. A high school diploma and customer service skills are desired, with TB/DOJ clearance often required.

Qualifications

• Maintain acceptable standards of behavior among students.
• Maintain poise, exercise tact and good judgment.
• Encourage students in games and activities.
• Collaborate and work effectively with school personnel, community representatives, parents, and students.
• Walk and stand for at least one hour increments.
• Work indoors and outdoors.

• Assist employees of the school in supervising students during events.

Job Description

The Campus Safety Supervisor aide assists in maintaining standards of student discipline and ensures the observance of rules and procedures by students and others on school campus at the direction of the school administrator. The Campus Safety Supervisor will have the following qualifications: establish good relations with individual students and groups communicate orally with staff, parents and students, react quickly and appropriately in emergencies. Operate two-way radio equipment; work effectively with personnel, students, parents, the public and others. Applicants should reside in the designated geographic area surrounding the school where the position is assigned.Patrol school corridors, rest rooms, assembly and athletic facilities, and other campus locations in order to observe student behavior and prevent violations or unsafe activities.Direct students and others and take action, as necessary, to prevent injury to persons or damage to property.Work with groups authorized to be on the campus before and after school and keep the campus free of unauthorized persons.Assist school administrators in contacting parents regarding students with behavioral problems and in discussing campus security with parent and community groups.Assist employees of the school in supervising students during events.Assist teachers in counseling individual students or groups of students.Deliver, set up, lay out or collect equipment and other materials.Assist with campus car and pedestrian traffic.Perform other related duties as assigned
