Job summary

Magnolia Public Schools in Carson, CA is seeking a part-time Campus Safety Supervisor to help maintain student discipline and campus safety under the direction of school administrators. You will establish positive relationships with students, staff and parents and respond quickly to emergencies.

Responsibilities include patrolling campus facilities, directing student movement, coordinating with administrators and parents, supervising events, and assisting with traffic control.

Qualifications

• Maintain acceptable standards of behavior among students.
• Maintain poise, exercise tact and good judgment.
• Encourage students in games and activities.
• Collaborate and work effectively with school personnel, community representatives, parents, and students.
• Follow school policies and procedures.
• Walk and stand for at least one hour increments.
• Work indoors and outdoors.
• Understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Graduation from high school or its equivalent is desirable.
• Experience in working with youth is desirable.
• Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
• TB and DOJ clearance.

• Assist teachers in counseling individual students or groups of students.
• Deliver, set up, lay out or collect equipment and other materials.
• Assist with campus car and pedestrian traffic.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Description

The Campus Safety Supervisor aide assists in maintaining standards of student discipline and ensures the observance of rules and procedures by students and others on school campus at the direction of the school administrator. The Campus Safety Supervisor will have the following qualifications: establish good relations with individual students and groups communicate orally with staff, parents and students, react quickly and appropriately in emergencies.
