Job description

What You’ll Actually Do
  • Work on trading floors alongside experienced Traders, Operators/Schedulers, Analysts and Charterers.
  • Participate in training, company events and network with senior S&T leaders and other business leaders.
  • Gain hands‑on experience in commodity commercial activities.
  • Perform tasks such as:
    • Commercial and/or Trading Analyst for Refined Products, Crude, Renewables and Carbon, Nat Gas and NGLs.
    • S&T Operations across Marine, Pipeline, Rail, Truck.
    • Shipping Operations/Demurrage analysis.
    • Risk Management/Credit analysis.
    • Downstream Value Chain Optimization analysis.
    • Value Chain Strategy and Commercial decision analysis.
What You Must Have
  • Accepted, full‑time enrolled participant of the Texas A&M Trading, Risk and Investment program.
  • Strong drive to add value creatively, strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, results‑driven mindset and global perspective.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, supplemented by academic and extracurricular achievements.
  • Outstanding leadership potential, excellent communication skills, and maturity.
  • Passion for the energy industry.
  • Permanent U.S. work authorization required (no exceptions).
  • Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $22.50 – $27.69 hourly. Compensation will be based on role, degree level, and academic year.

  • Furnished housing.
  • Participation in Employee Savings Investment Plan with immediate vesting.
  • Chevron matching contributions: 4% company match for a 1% employee contribution; 8% company match for a 2% employee contribution.
  • Flexible work schedules (5/40, 9/80, or 4/10) confirmed with the hiring manager.
  • Paid holidays according to schedule.
  • Full year of service credit for each internship completion (must be re‑employed within 365 days).
  • If converted to a full‑time new graduate position, competitive pay and benefits including healthcare, time off, retirement plans, and development opportunities.

Relocation may be considered. International candidates will not be sponsored for employment visas.
