Job summary

Berkeley County School District seeks a Paraprofessional/Teacher Assistant for the 190-day school year. Exact daily hours determined by the supervisor. The position requires an Associate's degree (or 60 college credits), official transcripts, and Praxis Paraprofessional scores of 456+.

• Copy of official transcripts verifying an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or a minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited college; Original official transcripts must be provided at new hire orientation; OR

• Negative TB test results under 1 year old. BCSD strongly encourages all applicants to upload their TB test results. If the applicant has not completed the test, he/she will be required to upload a word document acknowledging that the results will be uploaded as soon as the test is completed. Please Note: A delay in submitting TB test results will postpone the onboarding process. (If selected for a position)

Paraprofessional Praxis exams are offered through Berkekely County School District and Dorchester District 2. There is a registration cost of $75 that must be submitted at the time the test is administered.
