2026-2027 Middle School ELA Teacher

Ad Prima Charter School is a Blue Ribbon K-8 school in Philadelphia. We are seeking a full-time ELA/Social Studies teacher who will instruct students of diverse ability levels in English and Social Studies.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in ELA and Social Studies following the school’s adopted curriculum.
• Plan and develop lesson plans and teaching outlines using the adopted course of study and instructional guidelines.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and hands‑on experiences.
• Create instructional materials that support students at various ability levels.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure student success.
• Provide instruction and support in citizenship education.
• Participate in and support the IEP planning process.
• Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for staff and students.
• Maintain positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and deliver professional development for staff and parents.
• Perform other related responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications
