Job summary

Tunica County School District Inc is seeking a Maintenance Worker specialized in HVAC to diagnose and repair the district's HVAC/R systems and to perform preventive maintenance. You will read schematics, maintain a clean and safe work area, and communicate clearly with faculty and staff.

The role requires certification in HVAC/R and proven repair experience; the supervisor is the Director of Maintenance, and duties include scheduling work and responding to safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Certification in Heating, Air and Refrigeration.
• Experience in repair of Heating, Air and Refrigeration.
• Such other qualification as the Board deem acceptable and appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and correct problems associated with the District's HVAC/R system
• Estimate and schedule work completion including but not limited to work schedule
• Recognize, identify and offer solutions to potential safety/emergency issues
• Read and understand schematics, diagrams and graphic interpretations
• Perform basic routine preventative maintenance on HVAC/R equipment
• Clearly and professionally communicate to district faculty and staff
• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area
• Safely and skillfully operate power tools, hand tools and tools of the trade in the proper manner they were designed
• Paint, light repair, general maintenance
• Performs any other tasks as required by the Supervisor.
