Job summary

Atlanta Public Schools seeks an Elementary Teacher with Gifted designation to provide high-quality, standards-based instruction at Peyton Forest Elementary School. The teacher will plan, differentiate, and deliver engaging lessons aligned to district curriculum and state standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring student progress with data, maintaining a positive classroom, collaborating with families and staff, and participating in professional learning.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. Advanced degrees preferred.
• Certifications/Licenses: Must hold or be eligible for appropriate Georgia Professional Standards Commission certification for assigned subject(s).
• Experience: Experience gained through required education and certification. K-12 or public sector experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Teacher provides high-quality, standards-based instruction that supports student achievement and prepares K-12 students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed for success in college, career, and life. The Teacher plans, organizes, and delivers engaging learning experiences using evidence-based instructional practices, data-driven decision making, and inclusive classroom strategies.
