Job summary

Enid Public Schools Garfield Elementary in Enid, Oklahoma seeks a 2026-2027 Childcare Teacher to provide care and plan activities for young learners. This is an 185-day contract with an 8-hour day and requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Criminal History review and fingerprinting required.
• CECPD PDL Registry.
• OKDHS Safe Sleep Training.
• OKDHS Orientation for Child Care Program Professional Training.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• FERPA and BBP training required.
• CECPD ELCCT training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide Care and maintain the well-being and safety of the children in the classroom.
• Plan and carry out activities appropriate for the age of the children in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment by sanitizing all the toys and surfaces in a regular schedule.
• Comply with all Oklahoma Department of Human Services and Enid Public Schools District's regulations pertaining to the site and the children in the program's care.
• Observe and record children's activities on the approved program forms.
• Provide information to parents about their children, as well as, child development information.
• Participate in staff meetings.
• Fulfill annual staff development or training sessions as required by the Department of Human Services.
• Write and implement weekly lesson plans based on the Early Learning Guidelines.
