Job Description

Position: Kindergarten Teacher (Early Childhood)

Salary Schedule: Certified Teacher Schedule

Department: Elementary Instruction

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The teacher will establish and foster a positive classroom environment promoting academic and social development. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with district policies, building positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Teaching certification in Early Childhood or Elementary Education recognized by Oklahoma
• Preferred: Experience with children or in a classroom setting

Essential Duties

• Maintain necessary records and data for child counts and reports
• Teach academic content aligned with state standards
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials
• Monitor and evaluate student progress
• Communicate with parents about student progress
• Collaborate with staff on student interventions and resources

Skills and Physical Demands
