2025-26 Girls Basketball Assistant Coaches, Multiple Positions

Season Dates: 11/10/25 - 3/13/26

Positions Available: Varsity Assistant, JV, 10th Grade, 9th Grade

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, accompany, and supervise the team to and from all events including practices and competitions.
  2. Responsible for all matters pertaining to the organization and administration of coaching an athletic team.
  3. Assist the Director of Activities with hiring, development, and evaluation of assistant coaches.
  4. Work with the Director of Activities on budget requests, spending, and fundraising as needed.
  5. Plan and implement conditioning and weight programs with the Pagel Center Staff.
  6. Coordinate practice and game schedules with relevant offices and staff.
  7. Enforce discipline and sportsmanship, establishing activity penalties for breaches.
  8. Perform other similar duties as assigned.
Specific Responsibilities:
  1. Enforce all rules of the Minnesota State High School League and Minnetonka Public School Policies.
  2. Order and inventory equipment, uniforms, and supplies.
  3. Maintain accurate records (student physicals, parental consents, etc.).
  4. Prepare team rosters and verify participant eligibility.
  5. Report injuries and participate in meetings and planning sessions.
  6. Develop a transformational purpose statement and emergency action plan.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of the assigned sport and related policies.
  • Understanding of student conduct codes and disciplinary procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and physical ability to perform essential functions.
Licensing Requirements:

Must possess a coaching license or complete an MSHSL alternative program.

Compensation:

In accordance with Schedule B of the Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement. Not eligible for medical or dental benefits.
