Position Overview:

KIPP NYC is seeking dedicated teachers who can motivate and educate students, develop both academic and character skills, and make college preparatory education relevant for now and the future.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Teaching a rigorous college preparatory curriculum aligned with the school's standards and the New York State standards.
  • Engaging students in high-quality, exciting learning experiences.
  • Committing to continuous professional and personal growth by collaborating closely with a team of teachers.
  • Using data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Assessing student progress regularly and communicating results to families and colleagues.
  • Providing individual or small group instruction for students needing additional support.
  • Demonstrating a “whatever it takes” attitude to ensure each student's success.
  • Modeling the school's values in all interactions with students, families, and staff.
