Description

To create an elementary classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for elementary grade education in accordance with each student's ability; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Teaching various subjects including reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, and health, utilizing North Carolina curriculum standards.
  2. Developing lesson plans and instructional materials; providing individualized and small group instruction.
  3. Using diverse instructional strategies such as inquiry, group discussion, lecture, and discovery.

  8. Collaborating with staff to address student needs.
