Job summary

DeRoyal Industries, Inc. is seeking a General Laborer/Groundskeeper to maintain campus grounds, mow, weed-eat, seed and sod, and perform landscaping tasks. You will keep equipment clean and work on multiple DeRoyal locations as assigned.

Responsibilities include following supervisor instructions, ensuring safety, and assisting with facility maintenance projects. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Experience with mowing, weed-eating, seeding and sod installation.
• Ability to read and follow supervisor instructions and blueprints.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and incident reporting.

• Clean mowing and weed-eating equipment; clean up around campus grounds.
• Clean snow and debris from sidewalks and pick up trash on DeRoyal property, or as assigned.
• Assist in moving and installing manufacturing equipment, when needed.
• Work from blueprints or supervisor instructions and arrange materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean job site and secure tools daily to prevent hazards.

2017 - 8532 General Laborer/Groundskeeper

Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Mow, weed-eat, seed and sod campus grounds.

Perform various landscaping tasks such as spreading mulch, planting flowers, and pruning trees and shrubs.

Clean mowing and weed-eating equipment; clean up around campus grounds.

Clean snow and debris from sidewalks and pick up trash on DeRoyal property, or as assigned.

Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor including: Work on facility maintenance and building projects as assigned.

Perform assigned duties at various DeRoyal locations, as needed.

Assist in moving and installing manufacturing equipment, when needed.

Ability to work from blueprints or instructions from supervisors.

Measures, marks, and arranges materials.

Maintain a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.

Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to attention of Grounds Manager, or other appropriate personnel.

Assist other people on the job site, as assigned.

Arrive at work on time and comply with company attendance and tardiness policies.

Possess ability to get along with co-workers, customers and company visitors.
