Job summary

Hyundai AutoEver America in Montgomery, AL seeks a Senior System Administrator to drive the direction for maintaining and modernizing our server infrastructure. You will design, implement and operate high‑impact IT solutions with cost and performance in mind, coordinating with Headquarters and North American teams.

You will provide technical leadership for Windows, VMware and Exchange environments, oversee backups, monitoring, and inventory, and manage multiple IT projects through to completion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience as primary administrator for Windows, VMware, and Exchange Servers.
• Ability to think logically and to analyze issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• MCSE - Core Infrastructure Certification preferred.
• Microsoft Exchange Server Certification preferred.

Job Summary

Provides technical leadership and is responsible for establishing the direction for maintenance, standards, life-cycle management, design and implementation approaches for the company’s servers and/or related infrastructure. Creates, evaluates and implements plans and design proposals for high impact IT solutions and their use involving leading edge technologies and methods considering key factors such as their long-term effectiveness (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations, criticality, and coordinates with Headquarters. Leads or contributes to designs applied to all aspects of servers and/or related infrastructure prototypes and eventual implementation. Performs work of high complexity and derives logical processes based on technical platforms. Engages in performance/integration testing, problem analysis, business and technical analysis.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Leadership (75%)

• Perform Windows, VMware, and Microsoft Exchange System Administration
• Perform Virtual Environment Backup Administration
• Perform Windows Server and Virtual Environment System Monitoring
• Ensure systems are highly available, secure, manageable, and lowest cost to operate

Project Management (25%)

• Manage a large portfolio of projects, tasks, issues and systems

Required Skills, Attributes & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology majors preferred
• At least 10 years of experience as primary administrator for Windows, VMware, and Exchange Servers
• Ability to think logically and to analyze issues and implement appropriate solutions.
