Job Summary:A Technician I is needed to analyze and monitor MES systems and equipment across the Automotive ManufacturingPlant. In this challenging role you will provide level 1 support in continuously supporting production at HMMA (Hyundai Motors Manufacturing Alabama).Job Responsibilities:- Monitor and respond to problems with MES computer systems. This includes covering phone calls and radio calls from production and maintenance.
- Complete periodic checklists regarding MES systems.
- Conduct regular HMMA production floor walk-throughs to ensure printers, scanners, and other equipment is in proper working order.
- Promptly respond to and resolve production issues and/or requests as they arise, collaborating with other MES Technicians and Analysts as necessary, immediately escalating issues as appropriate.
- Escalate issues as per MES escalation standards.
- Work in both a control room and on the plant floor.
- Work overtime as needed to support production as well as projects
- Reconfigure and replace computers, scanners, and printers as they fail.
- Attend some holidays and the summer shutdown period to perform preventative maintenance of computers and MES equipment throughout the plant.
- Assist customers with installations and modifications regarding MES systems. This includes: computer installation, scanner installation and computer repair.
- Troubleshooting, knowledge of PLCs (preferred) knowledge of windows and server operations.
- Monitor SAP scheduled jobs and server status (Backflush, Production, and Material Management)
- Monitor and maintain Backup and Database jobs.
- Complete Daily Monitor Reports/Checklists (MES & SAP)

Required Skills, Attributes & Education:- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to troubleshoot computer hardware and software.
- Experience with PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, and Internet Explorer
- Must be able to work shift rotation.
- Ability to think logically, analyze issues, and implement countermeasures.

Salary / Benefits: $18.93 - $24.61- $27.07 per hour (D.O.E.) + a terrific Benefits plan highlighted by affordable Cigna PPO Medical Plan, Dental, Vision, 401k match and ample time off.
