Job summary

ProRecruiters is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join a growing and dynamic team in Tulsa, OK, supporting a manufacturer of downhole equipment. This contract position runs from September 28, 2026, to December 25, 2026.

You will be responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment, verifying shipping information, and coordinating with freight carriers. Strong attention to detail and forklift experience is required.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders for domestic and international shipment.
• Verify products, quantities, part numbers, and shipping information for accuracy.
• Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
• Schedule and coordinate shipments with freight carriers.
• Track outgoing shipments and communicate delivery updates.
• Package, label, and stage orders according to requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and update the company's system.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Communicate order discrepancies to supervision.
• Work closely with warehouse, production, sales, and customer service teams.

1. Prepare customer orders for domestic and international shipment
2. Verify products, quantities, part numbers, and shipping information for accuracy
3. Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required documentation
4. Schedule and coordinate shipments with freight carriers and delivery services
5. Track outgoing shipments and communicate delivery updates or delays
6. Package, label, and stage orders according to customer and carrier requirements
7. Maintain accurate shipping records and update the company's system
8. Assist with loading and unloading trucks and operate a forklift as needed
9. Communicate order discrepancies, damaged materials, or inventory shortages to supervision
10. Work closely with warehouse, production, sales, and customer service teams

Position Requirements

1. Hard skills: Familiarity with domestic and international shipping processes a plus; basic computer and data entry skills; forklift experience required (certification preferred); basic knowledge of inventory and material handling procedures; ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
2. Soft skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet shipping deadlines; dependable attendance and positive attitude; strong communication and teamwork skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision
