Job Details

Position Type: Part‑Time, 10 months, 6 hours/day, starting at the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year.

Hourly rate: $24.90 per hour (after probationary period). No health benefits.

Starting date: To Be Determined.

Job Description

(2) Instructional Assistant (IA)/Paraprofessional: The successful candidate will support students in the Autistic Classroom in both individual and small group settings, as directed by the teacher or supervisor. The candidate must be able to work calmly with students exhibiting behavioral and academic challenges and follow directions as needed. Although not required, a teaching certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

Applicants must have strong technology skills and be highly qualified as defined by federal standards; this requires either two completed years of study at an institution of higher education, an associate’s or higher degree, or PDE Highly Qualified certification.

Job Requirements

• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• Clearances required prior to beginning employment (Acts 24, 34, 114 & 151 dated within the past 12 months of posting and disclosure form(s) Act 168). Clearances may take up to two weeks to process; start this process immediately.
