Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a CODER II for full-time day shifts. The coder will collect, analyze, assign, and sequence codes for diseases, procedures, newborns, and complications for each patient discharge, inpatient or outpatient record, following current coding guidelines.

Qualified applicants will have at least one year of current acute care coding experience, college-level medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and a survey of disease. A sign-on bonus is offered for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have completed college level medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology and survey of disease.
• Minimum of one year experience in coding and abstracting.
• Inpatient coding experience required.

The ideal candidate will collect, analyze, assign and sequence all codes for: diseases, operations, newborns, and complications for each patient discharge, outpatient surgery or outpatient observation according to the latest coding systems.
